More About Ray
Ray Lozano began his work in drug prevention more than three decades ago, starting with a single presentation in a high school health class. Motivated by a desire to understand the choices of family members, Ray chose a substance‑free life and committed himself to helping young people do the same. His background as an award‑winning stand‑up comedian, combined with extensive research in alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs, shaped his unique and engaging style.
Since 1990, Ray has reached tens of thousands of students, educators, and communities with clear, relatable prevention education. His approach was strengthened during his time with a trauma center’s teen drug treatment outreach program, where he achieved a remarkable 92% success rate in preventing repeat offenses.
In 2017, Ray delivered a TEDx talk that highlighted his innovative strategies and his commitment to empowering youth with honest, science‑based information. Today, he continues to lead the field with presentations that inspire healthier choices and stronger decision‑making.
