I presented six 60 minute presentations to students at Chino High school through their physical education classes. We discuessed the dangers associated with alcohol, tobacco, and marijuana use and the impact it has on our body. My presentation included the “3 P’s of Alcohol”, “Removing the Smoke Screen”, and the “High Expectations of Marijuana”. I brought knowledge and humor to the classroom to educate these students and we had a hands on demonstration with students wearing the fatal vision glasses which simulates the feeling of intoxication.
I also had a few guest recovery speakers who shared their stories with the students and hopefully they will carry the message to their peers and families.
