This morning I conducted a 3 hour workshop for the Riverside Office of Education. We discussed “Drug Talk 101″the “High Expectations of Marijuana” and “Clearing the Air” which focuses on prescription drugs, marijuana and vaping and the impacts it has on our bodies and minds. Then this afternoon we conducted a 90 minute nurse’s visit for the Moreno Valley, California Youth Accountability Team (YAT) students. Our highly educated nurse brought their vast knowledge to this visit and gave the students insight into the professions in the medical field, the dangers of drug and alcohol related accidents and conducted a hands on presentation that includes various instruments that are used in a hospital setting. This was a great opportunity for students to learn about the many professions in the medical field and how to take the steps to obtain an education in this field. We had some great questions.
