Elks Association Drug Awareness Program (DAP), ʺ3 P’s of Alcoholʺ, ʺHigh Expectations of Marijuana” and ” Clearing the Air”

October 4, 2018 Waterbury, Manchester CT

My second day of the Elks DAP Connecticut tour I presented two 60 minute presentations to students from Wilby High School and North End Middle School. We discussed the “3 P’s of Alcohol”, ” Clearing the Air” and the “High Expectations of Marijuana” which focuses on the dangers associated with alcohol, marijuana and vaping use and the impacts it has on our bodies. Students asked questions and demonstrated the “fatal vision” goggles and walked the line among their peers. Then this evening I conducted a 60 minute presentation in which we discussed addiction and how to talk to adolescents about substance use but don’t know how to get started. This training was open to the public and was designed for parents, counselors, teachers church members, family members, Elks members and whomever feels they need help. This tour was sponsored by the Elks Association State Drug Awareness Program (DAP).
