On August 20 & 21 I will be attending and participating in the Southern Oregon United Prevention Regional Youth Summit. This Youth Summit will consist of many prevention presentations, excercises and activities which will include the following:
- Outlet density
- Marketing of alcohol, gambling, or tobacco
- Peer Mentoring
- Youth Messaging
- Youth Leadership
- Bullying
- Suicide Awareness
- Team action planning
- Awareness
- Cultural experience
- Underage drinking and marijuana
- Sexual Health Curriculum – Alcohol and drugs effect decision making
This should be a good time for all who attend and a chance to update our knowledge on the dangers of alcohol, drugs and the many other dangers that are affecting our youth today.
