The second day of the Elks DAP Pennsylvania tour I presented two 45 minute presentations to students from Albert Gallatin and Laurel Highlands High schools. We discussed the “3 P’s of Alcohol” and the “High Expectations of Marijuana” which focuses on the dangers associated with alcohol and marijuana use and the impacts it has on our bodies and minds. Students asked questions and were able to demonstrate the “fatal vision” goggles which simulates the feeling of intoxication. Then this evening I conducted a 60 minute community presentation in which we discussed how to talk to youth about alcohol and marijuana. This training was open to all Elks members, parents and community members. This tour was sponsored by the Elks Association State Drug Awareness Program (DAP).
