Elks Association Drug Awareness Program (DAP), ʺ3 P’s of Alcoholʺ, ʺHigh Expectations” and “Drug and Substance”

October 4, 2017 Clarksburg, Bridgeport, WV

The third day of the Elks West Virginia DAP tour I presented four 45 minute presentations to students from Western Irving Middle school, Robert C. Byrd High school and Bridgeport Middle and High schools. We discussed the “3 P’s of Alcohol” and the “High Expectations of Marijuana” and the dangers and impacts it has on our bodies and minds. Students were able to demonstrate the “fatal vision” goggles and walk the line among their peers. I brought my humor and knowledge to the stage. I received some great questions from the students. Then this evening I conducted a 60 minute presentation were we discussed “Drugs and Substance” which included a discussion on hard drugs and prescription drugs and how to talk to adolescents about substance use but don’t know how to get started. This training was open to the public and was designed for parents, Elks members, counselors, teachers, church members, family members and whomever feels they need help. This tour was sponsored by the Elks Association State Drug Awareness Program (DAP).
