My second day of the Elks DAP Alaska tour I presented two 45 minute presentations to students from Houston High school. We discussed the “3 P’s of Alcohol” and “High Expectations of Marijuana” which focuses on the dangers associated with alcohol and marijuana use and the impacts it has on our bodies. Students asked questions and demonstrated the “fatal vision” goggles and walked the line among their peers. Then I presented one 45 minute presentation at the Hiland Correctional Center in which we discussed the ” High Expectations of Marijuana,” heroin use and addiction. We had a great afternoon. This evening I conducted a 60 minute parent training discussing addiction among our youth. This training was open to the public and is designed for parents, counselors, teachers, church members and community leaders. This tour was sponsored by the Elks Association State Drug Awareness Program (DAP).
