Today I presented one 45 minute presentation to students at Canyon High school. We discussed the dangers associated with opioid and prescription drug use and the impacts it has on our bodies and minds. Students were able to ask questions and interact with the presentation. This evening I presented at the McKena Events Center to middle school students, parents and community members. I conducted a 60 minute presentation in which will discuss ” Drug Talk 101″ which includes the dangers associated with opioid and prescription drug use. Many adults want to talk to adolescents about substance use but don’t know how to get started or how to engage their teens. Research shows that the most important factor in adolescents not using is having adults talk to them about substance use. We had a great evening and some great questions.
