Today I presented one 60 minute presentation to students from Robert F. Kennedy Charter School and one 45 minute presentation to students from Job Corps. We discussed “Drug Talk 101” which discusses the dangers and impacts of opioid use and prescription drug use among our youth today. Then this evening I conducted a 60 minute training to students and parents at Highland High school. We discussed the development of a youth’s brain and addiction. This training covered such questions as, why do youth become addicted so quickly, why is the introduction of drugs, alcohol, marijuana and opioids so detrimental early on, and how to talk with your kids about remaining drug free. We had a great day!
