Powdered Alcohol Might Present Severe Risk to Health

Drinkers in the United States might discover themselves sprinkling their most beloved beverage instead of pouring it, as ‘Palcohol,’ a powdered alcohol brand, is currently completely approved by the American government.

This week, the TTB (Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau) approved 7 varieties of Palcohol, which include Cosmopolitan and Margarita flavors that are set to be available in the fall of 2014.

The company’s site that has been modified since being approved by the TTB, pitched the item as a solution to the ever-growing price of liquid alcohol.

According to the product’s promo material, it reads ‘What is worse than attending a sporting event, concert, etc. and paying $10, $15, or $20 for a mixed cocktail with tip and tax. Are you kidding!? Take Palcohol with you into the event and enjoy a mixed cocktail for half the cost.’
