Elks Association Drug Awareness Program (DAP), ” 3 P’s of Alcohol”, ʺClearing the Airʺ and ʺHigh Expectations of Marijuana”

April 17, 2019 • Anchorage, AK

My third day of the Elks DAP Alaska tour I will be presenting for two 45 minute presentations to students at Bartlett High School. We will discuss alcohol and marijuana and the dangers associated with its use and the impacts it has on our bodies and minds. Students can demonstrate the “fatal vision” goggles which simulates the feeling of intoxication and “walk the line” among their peers. Then this afternoon I will be conducting one 60 minute Anchorage School District staff training and one 60 minute evening parent training. In both trainings will discuss addiction and how to talk to youth about drugs and alcohol but don’t know how to get started. This training is open to Elks members, parents and community members. This tour is sponsored by the Elks Association State Drug Awareness Program (DAP).
